In the era of ultra mobility, travel and movement are becoming easier and more frequent. However, this is not always the case for those who own a pet.

Whether by plane, train, or bus, restrictive rules apply and can turn your trip into a real headache. If you are traveling abroad, remember to update your pet’s vaccinations. And don’t forget to bring their identification documents.

And if you choose to travel by car, by renting your vehicle with Europcar you can travel freely and bring your pets along!

Safety

Also, to make the journey pleasant for everyone, it is essential to follow certain safety rules.

It is crucial that your pet does not disturb you while driving: they could have a sudden reaction while you are driving and put you in danger. If you are traveling with a dog, attach their harness to one of the seat belts in the back seat, or place them comfortably in the trunk if the size of the trunk and your pet allows it.

If you are traveling with a cat (or a very small dog), you can opt for a carrier where they will be comfortably installed, ensuring safety for all passengers. In any case, consider choosing a vehicle spacious enough to accommodate the whole family and your pets from the wide Euromaster fleet.

Breaks

Take breaks regularly throughout your journey. They are necessary for the driver but also for the animals. Do not hesitate to stop more often than you think necessary because animals can also suffer from motion sickness.

Stress, anxiety, and discomfort can cause vomiting and/or nausea, and sometimes it is not useless to plan for tablets intended to reduce motion sickness in our four-legged friends.

And if pets are allowed in our vehicles, they must be returned in the same clean condition as at the start. Additional billing fees may apply otherwise.
