GENERAL
Europcar will provide you with a key card. Place the key card on the circle near the driver's window to lock/unlock the vehicle from the outside. The Tesla app does not give you access to the rental vehicle's remote control features.
How do I open the door?
To open the door, press the right-hand side of the handle to extend and pull to open.
To exit, press the button on the top of the armrest handle.
Tesla cars do not have a start button.
To start the car, place the key card in the cup holders, press the brake and put the car in gear.
To stop the car automatically, select park mode, remove your keycard and close all doors. If you do not remove your key card, the car remains accessible and can be driven. The touchscreen can also switch the car off.
Under the bonnet, there is a space to store your belongings.
To open it, press the "open" button on the touch screen.
To close it, close the bonnet until the latches are in contact. Then, on either side of the T, place both hands on the front of the bonnet and press firmly until the latches engage.

AUTOPILOT
Tesla's Autopilot is a driving aid. It offers traffic-aware cruise control and parking assistance. However, you must remain vigilant and in control of your vehicle.

RECHARGING
There are several ways to recharge your Tesla:
- Supercharger > Take advantage of an unparalleled network with over 30,000 superchargers in 3,000 stations across Europe.
- Public stations > More than 250,000 public charging stations are available in Europe, including 50,000 in France. Europcar provides you with the Shell New Motion card. Download the app and sign up for free. This will give you access to the charging station network. You will be charged according to your consumption.
- Domestic sockets, such as your home or workplace.
Simply touch the search bar on the map and select Charging on the map displayed on the touchscreen.

There are two types of charging cables in the vehicle's boot. One is for domestic use, and the other is for city roadside charging. When charging on the highway, use the charging pole's cable.
When charging with a supercharger, use the cable that is directly connected to the charging station.
If you are using a Tesla charger:
- To open the charge door, use the touch screen or press the door once. If you are using a Tesla charging station, press the button on the charging station connector and the cover will open automatically.
- Plug the cable into the vehicle socket.
- When charging is complete, press the connector button until the logo turns white, then unplug the cable and plug it back into the terminal.
If using a public terminal :
- Connect the cable on the vehicle side.
- Swipe your card on the terminal to identify yourself.
- Then connect your vehicle to the terminal.
- Once charging is complete, press the button on the vehicle-side connector until the logo turns white, disconnect the vehicle-side cable, then disconnect the terminal-side cable (swipe the card again if necessary).

Charging times are determined by the charging station's power capacity and the charging power of the vehicle.
- With superchargers, you will recover 100km of autonomy within 10 minutes.
- On public charging stations, you will recover 100km of autonomy within 90 minutes.
- On a domestic socket, you will recover 100km of autonomy within 7 hours.
Charging on Tesla Superchargers is included in your rental. However, penalties for untimely occupancy of the Supercharger are not included: Tesla charges for occupancy of the Supercharger when charging is complete. The amount is set by Tesla. It was around €0.8/min at the end of 2021. You will be re-billed for this penalty once the vehicle is returned. To help you avoid being charged, the vehicle will indicate the charging time required.
Recharging at public charging stations is at the driver's expense. The driver must have a charge card and be registered with a charge point provider. Europcar provides the Shell New Motion card at the counter: registration is free. Charges are billed by Shell New Motion on a fee-for-service basis.
In order to allow the smoothest possible access to its Superchargers, TESLA applies penalties per minute when the Customer leaves his vehicle connected beyond the time required for it to be fully recharged, which time is indicated on the vehicle's dashboard when it is connected.
In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Rental, you will therefore be recharged by Europcar for the penalties applied by TESLA for recharging during your rental period.
