Driving in Baden-Baden

It is possible to park on the streets of Baden-Baden, but spaces are limited, especially in the Old Town. There are several parking lots where you can park 24/7.
The city center of Baden-Baden does not have "Umweltzones," low-emission zones. However, they exist in other cities, so if you plan to travel in the country, you will need a sticker (Umweltplakette) for your car. You can order your environmental sticker online. You risk a fine of €100 if you enter one of these Umweltzones without a sticker.
There are no tolls for cars on German roads.

An hour north of Baden-Baden, Heidelberg (92 km) is one of the most romantic cities in Germany. With the ruins of its castle overlooking the Neckar River and the city below, there is much to see for a day trip. Be sure to visit Heidelberg University, which is the oldest in Germany and impresses with its architecture.
Stuttgart (96 km) and Frankfurt (173 km) are major cities that can be reached by car from Baden-Baden.

Visit the Black Forest (Schwarzwald)
