Driving in Baden-Baden
When driving in Germany, remember that the speed limit for private vehicles is 130 km/h on highways and 100 km/h on other roads. In Baden-Baden itself, the speed limit is set at 50 km/h unless otherwise indicated. This limit is reduced in residential areas and near schools.
It is possible to park on the streets of Baden-Baden, but spaces are limited, especially in the Old Town. There are several parking lots where you can park 24/7.
The city center of Baden-Baden does not have "Umweltzones," low-emission zones. However, they exist in other cities, so if you plan to travel in the country, you will need a sticker (Umweltplakette) for your car. You can order your environmental sticker online. You risk a fine of €100 if you enter one of these Umweltzones without a sticker.
There are no tolls for cars on German roads.
