Driving in Oviedo

Onwards from Oviedo you can take the coastal trail to Bilbao (284 kilometers) and San Sebastian (381 kilometers) a bit further on.

Visit the endangered wolves at the Casa del Lobo

About 50 kilometers from the city center, the Casa del Lobo is a memorable park dedicated to the endangered Iberian wolf. You can get an idea of this protected breed and its habits, and you will also have the opportunity to see two wolves, Paco and Tolo, in the extensive enclosure. The Casa del Lobo is 45 minutes from the center of Oviedo, accessible by car via the A-63.

Visit the Exhibition and Congress Palace

The Congress Palace should be visited just for its futuristic architecture. Designed by the renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, its white sheet shape resembles a winged insect. Two kilometers from the city center, travel by car to reach the Congress Palace.

What not to miss if you are in Oviedo

Oviedo is full of impressive squares (Plaza de la Constitución and Plaza Fontán with its food market) in the old town, leading to winding streets filled with unique boutiques and excellent restaurants like Gloria, by the 2 Michelin star chef Nacho Manzano. Look for the monument in homage to Woody Allen: the director chose Oviedo for his film "Vicky Cristina Barcelona".
