Our airport rentals desk is located in the rental car office outside the arrivals lounge. A shuttle bus operates between the airport and the city, seven days a week, every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes at the weekend. Canberra City Europcar is located in the foyer of the Novotel on Northbourne Avenue. The office is accessible from the Civic bus interchange by Bunda Street, and the Alinga Street train station is just a one minute walk away.

Construction began in 1913, and the attractive city is centred around Lake Burley Griffin, with many of the most popular tourist attractions and things to do sitting along its shores, including the National Gallery of Australia, the Questacon science and technology centre, and the National Library. If you’re interested in politics, make sure a tour of Parliament House is on your itinerary!

Ready to take your rental car for a spin? An hour south of the city is the Canberra Space Centre. Learn about Australia's role in space exploration, see the largest antenna complex in the southern hemisphere, and learn about the foods astronauts eat on the space shuttle! With a playground, café and picnic areas, there’s enough here to keep all the family entertained. And head to the Tinbinbilla Nature Reserve just a few kilometres away to round off your day with some nature – look out for the grey kangaroos, rock wallabies, emus, and koalas.

If you fancy a day by the sea, drive 200km to beautiful Jervis Bay to enjoy the gorgeous white sands, and sparkling blue water at the dozen or so beaches around the bay. Enjoy swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, boat trips – or just lazing on the beach watching the world go by! Visit one of the cute beachside towns around the bay when it’s time for some refreshment – the fish and chips in Huskisson are particularly popular!
